Remember the movie Cheaper by the Dozen with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt? We absolutely loved the spple schmearing part. Take old rotten apples and a tennis racket or baseball bat and have at it. So, when the picklets were asked to go pear schmearing they couldn't reisist.
The clean up took a while but it sure was fun!
