Mixing a little Charlotte Mason into our school days this year. Dictation is on the schedule for Tuesdays and Thursdays. I think finding quality text may be harder than I originally thought. I know we can take passages from books etc...but I am hoping the picklets can gain some moral incite through the dictation and copywork process. Our first dictation lesson went very well, I think. The quote I chose is from William Arthur Ward.
"Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you."

At Simply Charlotte Mason she has a line of books, Spelling Wisdom, that are full of quotes for dictation. Each book is for different age bracket. We do the first book and enjoy seeing the new quotes each week.
