They are pretty easy to use. You roll all 9 dice and use all of the pictures in a story. Another way is to divide the die amongst the players. Each person takes a turn rolling and using the picture in an ongoing story. It can get quite interesting.
These are a great addition to our creative writing practice. They are also very mobile which makes car schooling a breeze!
