Luckily, some years ago, my MIL shared with me her secret to freezer defrosting. Unplug the freezer, empty what you can and have a fan blow on the the frost. From beginning to end it only took about an hour and a half. It was a cold job though...lol
Before I couldn't even tell what was on the first or second shelves. Nor could I get stuff out of the top two shelves on the door. Plus stuff was just thrown in where it would fit.
Afterward I know right where everything is. The top shelf contains beef and pork. The second shelf contains chicken and pizza sticks. The third shelf has french fries, bread crumbs and a few odds and ends. Shelf number 4 contains flour. The drawer has shredded zucchini from our garden, ears of corn that I froze, strawberries from our garden and some bags of frozen veggies from the store. The door contains strawberry jam, rhubarb jam, frozen pea pods (from the garden) and homemade salsa. © 2008 Wicked Pickles-The Homefront Lines
