Chip carved a molar by chomping and then sculpting with a toothpick.
Dill made something like an alien or something. He told me what they were but this occured before Halloween and I can't for the life of me remember what he said.
He moved the toothpicks around and made another creature.
Sweet made a jack-o-lantern by chomping and then carving with a toothpick.
I made a batcave.

He came in with 7".
Dill had 5.5"
Sweet ended with 7".
Sweet's first attempt was also a box made out of two pieces of paper. She then rolled two pieces of paper into tubes and taped those on the bottom. leaving at least an inch of space between them. On each side of the car she taped a marker lid. She then laid the markers and pencils, free standing, in between the taped down items. She was hoping they would roll and be contained. They fell out and the car stopped.
Her second attempt had paper loops for wheels that she hoped would roll down the mat. Well, the wheels fell off and she was looking for a handicap due to a kitten hazard.
I guess she kept Think!ing about this because during the debate last night (I am the homeschool mom that made my children remain in the room to at least listen to the candidates) she made a new car! I was very impressed by her design and her reasoning. After the debate, when she was showing it to me, she proudly announced, "The directions said I couldn't use scissors but they didn't say I couldn't use an x-acto knife." At first I really wanted to say, "That is what was meant." But I didn't. She was thinking outside the box and I was not only awed but I respected that. 
She made a rectangular box out of 1 sheet of paper. She then put holes through each side of the car big enough to stick a pencil through. She made 4 loops from a piece of card stock, put the loops on a piece of paper and x-acto-knived 8 circles. She taped the circles onto the sides of each loop and stuck one end of the pencil (that is being held by the car) into the loops. Who said you can't reinvent the wheel??? She thought through the process of how the van's tires turn and made an axle and wheels. It rolled down the 5' ramp and out 3 feet from the ramp for a total of 8 feet.
Materials included cups, tape, paper, spoons and spaghetti. Here is what the picklets came up with.
In theory it was a great idea. In reality our kitten liked his bridge so much that she wouldn't leave it alone. Chip thought he should get handicap because of the kitten hazard. He ended up with 245 coins all together with a grand total of $6.75.
He ended up with 370 coins all together though he didn't keep track of the type of coins he used so he couldn't give me a grand total.
Sweet also used card stock and split her tape by using 7.5" of scotch tape and 7.5" of duct tape. She taped her paper on the cups and put the spaghetti on top of the paper. She then used the duct tape to make supports in the middle of the paper with the spoons. She folded her paper in half to make it stronger. She only counted up to 125 coins when she went to let the dogs out to go potty. When she got back she found her brothers had cleaned up the table and put all her stuff away. Sweet believes it was a conspiracy to prevent her from winning. 
Yet, another week of great Think!ing outside the box! Can't wait till next week!
Dill's creation was also about 3 feet from the table. He connected the two cups together using paper clips. He then tied the string to a hole he put in a cup, connected the other end of the string to another paperclip and hung it by the ceiling fan pull chain. He piled marshmallows in the cups until he reached 70! He did not use the tape or the spaghetti. As you can see the dogs were at the ready for any spare pillows of sugary joy that might fall their way. When his string came undone and the marshmallows went all over the floor it took all of us to keep the dogs from eating too many. It was chaotic...hilarious but chaotic!
Sweet took a different approach and decided to build a bridge for her marshmallows. She used the two cups as her base and laid the spaghetti on the cups. She found that as soon as she started adding the marshmallows the spaghetti would roll off the cup. So she took the paperclips and used them as barriers on the cups so the spaghetti wouldn't roll. She then laid the spaghetti on the cups and put a layer of paperclips over the spaghetti to strengthen them. She did not use the string or the tape. In the end she had 32 marshmallows on her suspension bridge.
His second was about 4". I love his 
His third was about the same height and stayed until I made them clear the table.
It was over an hour and a half before I decided we needed to eat supper.
She finally got it off the ground on it's own A whopping 5" for over a minute!
This was a great project to really make them think. They begged me to do it again! It was also a great use for those apples that aren't so pretty from the tree!
